I got the full grant! Plus a secondary grant and Work Study eligibility! All together it totals $3411 a quarter in financial aid. I'm so excited. I literally squealed when I received the notice.
I went in and registered for classes a little bit ago. I'll be taking English 101, Business 101, and Math 098. My days are gonna be full come fall, and the best part is I don't have to change my sleep schedule! My first class isn't until 11:30! I can't wait.
Mostly, I can't wait to pick up my check on the first day of classes so I can go get a laptop and get my teeth fixed. My last dentist missed a spot and since I have crappy teeth the spot has since eaten all the way to the nerve. I go through 8 ibuprofen a day so I can still function like a normal person.

FIREWORKS!!!
An organization I am a part of decided to operate a TNT fireworks stand this year. We're on day 5 and I can now tell you why so few groups choose to operate one more than one year... it's boring to have to sit there all day waiting for customers. Yesterday we had over a 2 hour loll in between several customers. 2 HOURS! And more than once too! We're hopeful that things will pick up drastically as we get closer to the fourth.
So, anybody reading this, if you live in the Bellingham area come on over to Bakerview Freddy's and check us out.

What's New in My Life...
Well, I finally caved and joined Facebook. I'm hoping to generate more traffic for my ArtFire shop that way and so far it's working. My shop views have doubled so cross your fingers for a sale soon.

How Goes School
Well, I am proud to say I have filled out and submitted both my FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) and my WCC admissions forms. I should hear back from the college in a week or so when they've processed my application to let me know when I can schedule any placement tests I may need to take. I should also be hearing from them about whether or not there is anything else they need for my FAFSA eligibility. I hope there isn't anything else to fill out.
I won't know till July if I will get the financial aid though. The people in the financial aid office say I should receive full financial aid (a Pell Grant up to $5550 for 1 academic year). I should also receive an overview of potential federal student loans as well. I haven't discussed it with my Grandmother yet but I'm thinking if I do receive notice of getting full financial aid I may just stop the job hunt and focus solely on my jewelry making. We'll just have to see how things go... I'll keep y'all posted.

ZOMG!! I actually have news!
Today I am going out to my local Community College to turn in my admissions application and my FAFSA application. (Free Application for Student Aid). Hopefully I will qualify and be awarded enough money in grants and whatever to be able to attend school full time.
And to the whopping 3 people who read my blog, yes I have resolved my issues with going back to school mentioned in the last post. I have settled on an Associates in Business Administration as well as an Associates in Liberal Studies (means I completed 90 credits worth of college level work) for the courses that don't fit into the business degree, like Japanese, history, or art. I haven't settled on a specialty for the business degree yet but the front runners are entrepreneurship and accounting.
Wish me luck!
